Irene Gonzalez has been with the Small Business Administration for 19 years. She currently works in the government contracting division. As a Business Development Specialist, Irene is responsible for providing technical assistance to small business owners in expanding their knowledge in federal contracting.

Irene currently acts as a liaison between federal agencies, prime contractors and small businesses to facilitate relationships in an effort to meet contracting goals. She also is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of minority and women owned businesses that have been 8(a) certified by SBA.

Mrs. Gonzalez serves as the Boise District Office Native American Representative. She provides training and counseling to start-up businesses; and is active in the Faith Based Community Initiative and participates in various Hispanic and community organizations.
